Things To Do….In Corfu! – Kassiopi

Kassiopi is a picturesque village situated in the small peninsula on the North-Eastern corner of Corfu opposite the Albanian coastline with just 2km separating them at the closest  point. Located 36 km North of Corfu Town it is the largest resort in the North East of the island. The horse shoe harbour is the best known focal point at the centre of Kassiopi that inhabits most of social life of the village day & night. It is the perfect spot to relax, drink & dine while watching the boats come in and out.

The village is overlooked by the ruins of the Byzantine castle high up on the hill that was used to protect the town and it’s port. This is a fantastic place to take in some of the beautiful views of the harbour from above as well as exploring the castle grounds. Once a quiet fishing village, it has transformed into a popular holiday destination.

Corfu Town, the hub of the island. A living, breathing museum wherever you turn in this bustling metropolis. With its architectural character heavily influenced by the Venetians, dating back to the late 1300’s during their 400 year rule. There is also influences from England as well as France throughout the town. Two castles enclose the capital, which is the only city in Greece to be surrounded in such a way. As a result it has been officially declared a ‘Kastropolis’ which translates to ‘Castle City’ by the Greek Government.

There is SO much to do and see in Corfu Town, an abundance of history and culture at your fingertips, it’s hard to know where to start. So we are going to break it down for you into what we think are some of the best places to visit when in the island’s capital.

After the (what seems like) a never-ending countdown, endless bag packing, weighing and re-packing, browsing the airport duty free shops, excitedly heading towards the gate as it’s announced and boarding the plane, you have finally arrived in Corfu! Margarita’s 1 room suites, Sunflower & Orange Lily, located on the upper floor are an open plan, fully equipped kitchen and living space. In the communal living area you will find 2 x sofa beds and a TV. The 1 room suits consist of a separate bedroom and bathroom – complete with bath tub! The bedrooms come with a king size bed & memory foam mattress to provide you with total comfort and relaxation on your holiday. There is also an over the bed mosquito net (as well as fully functional mosquito nets on all doors).
